Volleyball Fundraising Drive

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) in conjunction with the Association of Secondary Schools Head teachers’ in Uganda (ASSHU) and the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) invited Kigezi College Butobere to participate in Ball Games II Secondary Schools Sports Championship 2022 to take place at Dr. Obote College Boroboro and St Katherine Girls School Lira from 13th – 21st August, 2022 in VOLLEYBALL – (Boys).

On Friday 8th July 2022, the Office Of The Coordinator (Publicity & Mobilisation), with permission from the Chairman Siniya Alumni Forum, launched a Fundraising drive to support the Kigezi College Butobere Volleyball Team to enable it participate in the National Ball Games II Secondary Schools Sports Championship 2022 in Volleyball which the school has previously emerged Champions for the District of Kabale and 1st Runners up in the Kigezi Region.

SINIYA Volleyball Team Support
Gentlemen Basiniya, we all witnessed the potential of the students that represented Siniya in the Volleyball Championships at the District where they emerged Champions for the fourth consecutive year and at the Regionals where Siniya emerged Second in Kigezi Region.
The team is now expected to compete at the National stage, competitions that will be held at Dr. Obote College Boroboro in Lira District beginning on 13th August 2022.
The Official Approved Budget for the event is UGX 8,581,000

Unfortunately, we have been informed that the team also has a Food Debt that was left in Bukinda at the Regional Competitions to the tune of UGX 392,000.
As we all know the current constraints of the school it would be prudent that we as Old Boys contribute generously towards realising the successful participation of arguably the only activity the whole Kigezi Region knows Siniya is unbeatable at.
I personally find this a very noble cause that we all must be associated with and get it out of the way immediately.
